(Reuters) – Law firm Frost Brown Todd said Monday that it has hired eight venture capital partners from Cleveland-founded midsize firm Ulmer & Berne.

The partners, all based in Cincinnati, include the co-leaders of Ulmer & Berne’s venture law practice, Vance VanDrake and Zach Bahorik, and head of the firm’s IP and technology practice group, Eric Robbins.

On 20 December 2022, the German Federal Labor Court (“BAG”) ruled that the entitlement to statutory minimum vacation is only subject to the three-year year statute of limitations if the employer has (i) previously informed its employees about their specific vacation entitlements and that the vacation will lapse if they do not take it and (ii) the employee then freely decides not to take them (See judgment – 9 AZR 266/20).

Dividing assets after a divorce or separation is a difficult process. But a recent case highlighted the courts power to undo transactions where the assets were disposed of when a divorce or separation was only being “anticipated”.
